clkwrk represents my foray into the world of wristwatch design and manufacturing. With a focus on low production CNC manufacturing techniques leveraging rapid prototyping technologies, clkwrk is an experiment to push the boundaries of the modern one-man watchmaking operation.
clkwrk 004 is a square chronograph with a big date at 12 o'clock and a modest size of 38mm. Inside is a Miyota 6S50 movement, delivering timekeeping to the dial via three registers and three center hands. Outside is a 3D printed case comprising just two main components and a laser engraved dial to achieve multiple colors and depths.
Motorsports and Horology have always enjoyed an intertwined history, and clkwrk 005 celebrates this. Heavily inspired by BMW's R60 motorcycle of the 1950s and '60s, 005 draws upon its design, materials, and finishes to create a transportive timepiece.
